Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of accurately placing the top surface position of a recording medium within a paper feed range determined by the upper limit position and lower limit position in a paper feedable range, and to provide an image forming device. SOLUTION: The thickness of the fed recording medium is detected, and the accumulation value of the detected thickness of the recording medium is calculated.
