Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage box which is the minimum required size which allows an external equipment to be accommodated and which utilizes an accommodation space effectively by making use of the setting space of an ashtray not required for a non-smoker. SOLUTION: The storage box 10 includes: a panel 14, in which a notch opening 12 of almost an L shape turned sideways is formed from its upper part up to the central part and which is arranged by closing the ashtray accommodation opening in the instrument panel; an external input terminal portion 16, which is provided at the lower right part of the notch opening 12 in the panel 14 and which allows the connection of output signal wires of a portable audio apparatus, which is an external apparatus; and a box body 18 of a rectangular tube shape having a bottom, which is fixed to the peripheral edge part of the notch opening 12 at the back surface side of the panel 14 and arranged in the accommodation opening.
