Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out operations such as holding of targets of work in various shapes in a robot system without complicating a system structure, enlargement and increase in weight, and in addition, to sufficiently secure a force for supporting a holding a claw in a loading direction when holding a workpiece to be worked so as to hold the heavy workpiece. SOLUTION: The robot system includes a manipulator 1 having a holding mechanism 5 having holding claws 6 detachable. The holding means 5 has two or more holding claws 6 mounted. The system has a function of holding the workpiece 201 to be worked by each of the holding claws 6 or releasing it by moving to operate each of the mounted holding claws 6 in directions for relatively bringing closer or farther, and includes a supporting member 7 to be engaged with each of the holding claws 6 to support the load of the workpiece 201 in holding the workpiece 201 when each of the holding claws 6 is moved in a moving direction for holding the workpiece 201 from the holding mechanism 5.
