Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which can prevent vibration of an electrode fitting to suppress generation of noise. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display including a liquid-crystal display panel and a backlight that is placed on the back face of the liquid-crystal display panel, the backlight includes a frame member (DFR), a plurality of fluorescent lighting tubes (FL) that are placed in the frame member and provided with electrode portions on both ends, the electrode fitting (1) that supports the electrode portions (4) of the fluorescent lighting tubes and supplies electric power to the fluorescent lighting tubes, and a support means that supports the electrode fitting, wherein a plurality of rail portions (11 and 12) extended in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the fluorescent lighting tube and a pinch-holding portion (13) formed between the rail portions and pinch-holds the fluorescent lighting tubes are formed in the electrode fitting, one end of the electrode fitting adheres to the support means, the other end of the electrode fitting is made to be a free end with respect to the support means, a connection (17) to connect the plurality of rail portions is formed, and the connection has a bending portion (18).
