PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor capable of surely preventing the occurrence of corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in an impeller, when fluid containing a corrosion component is supplied. SOLUTION: This centrifugal compressor 1 is provided for compressing and discharging a supplied fluid G by rotating the impeller, and has a detecting means 4 for detecting a characteristic value related to corrosion of an impeller material forming the impeller of the supplied fluid G, and a determining means 5 for determining whether or not to satisfy a preset condition by determining the characteristic value detected by the detecting means 4 by the impeller material.
