Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an exhaust performance in regeneration while securing the regeneration efficiency of an exhaust emission control catalyst. SOLUTION: When an NOx catalyst is regenerated, the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing to the NOx catalyst is controlled using a cylinder post injection when an engine is under low load or rotated at low speeds and using only an exhaust pipe fuel adding valve when the engine is under high load and rotated at high speeds. In the regeneration where the cylinder post injection is used, an EGR valve is controlled so that the recirculation of the exhaust gas is restricted at a time when unburned fuel is discharged into an exhaust pipe to intermittently recirculate the exhaust gas.
