Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuous casting in which inert gas is uniformly blown in from the whole inner wall faces in the lower region of the nozzle so as to effectively suppress the sticking-deposition of nonmetallic inclusions to the inner wall faces of the nozzle. SOLUTION: In the immersion nozzle where the lower part of the body is provided with a bottom 1, and molten steel discharge holes 2 are penetratingly provided to the sidewall parts directly above the bottom 1, the inside of the nozzle body is provided with gas passages 3 along the axial direction of the nozzle and network continuous pores 4 formed at the lower part region x of the nozzle body at least from the bottom 1 to the upper part of the molten steel discharge hole 2 and communicating with the gas passages 3. The inner wall members 5 facing the network continuous pores 4 in the nozzle body are composed of gas-permeable porous bodies, and the pore edges of the network continuous pores 4 are not opened in the inner wall faces 20 of the molten steel discharge holes 2. The blowing-in of inert gas is not biased to the inner wall faces of the molten steel discharge hole, and inert gas can be uniformly blown in from the whole inner wall faces in the lower region of the nozzle through the inner wall members 5 facing the network continuous pores 4.
