Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip feeding type image reader capable of taking in the image of a slip without allowing ruled lines printed on the slip to disappear even when a black line or a white line is generated by the attachment of trash or dust, etc., onto a main scanning line. SOLUTION: The ruled lines of the slip are prevented from being superimposed on the black line or white line by diagonally feeding the slip at a prescribed angle with respect to the feeding direction, so as to take in the image of the slip.
