Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system in which the interference between identical broadcast wave signals in the transmission stations can be suppressed as much as possible, and also a wide service area can be secured with the small number of transmission stations with respect to a digital broadcast system using a single frequency. SOLUTION: The transmission station includes: a broadcast data reception means for receiving broadcast data from broadcasting center equipment; an encoding means for encoding the broadcast data to encoded data; a modulation means for modulating the encoded data to a broadcast wave signal; and an antenna for transmitting the broadcast wave signal using the single frequency. The antenna is a directional antenna. The transmission station includes a delay means for delaying the broadcast wave signal output from the modulation means by a prescribed delay time, a first delay time calculation means for calculating a first delay time d1 on the basis of a distance to a low order transmission station with respect to the broadcast wave signal, and a delay time setting means which sets a prescribed delay time of the delay means to the first delay time d1.
