PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience, while ensuring security. SOLUTION: A wireless communication apparatus (cellular phone 110) includes: an access point storing section 230 for storing first ID information and second ID information for an access point 140 that belong to a first category so as to be able to change the first ID information and the second ID information, and storing second ID information for an access point belonging to a second category so as to be able to change the second ID information; an ID information acquiring section 250 for acquiring, when wirelessly communicating with any arbitrary access point, the first ID information and the second ID information or only the second ID information from the relevant access point; a communication permission section 252 for permitting the wireless communication with the access point, when the acquired ID information agrees with the ID information stored in the access point storage section; and a wireless LAN section 224 for carrying out the permitted wireless communication.
