HOLD SOUND TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hold sound transmission system for a telephone system which can provide a hold sound of tone quality corresponding to a media capability at establishment of a telephone call to a terminal on the holding side. SOLUTION: High tone quality musical sound data Mi_h and standard tone quality musical sound data Mi_n are stored in flash memories 33 and 43 of a CEU 3 and a VCU 4. When a hold button of an extension terminal is operated during the telephone call to an outside line terminal, a CCU 1 instructs the CEU 3 to export a hold sound to the outside line terminal on the holding side. Further, when the hold button of one extension terminal is operated during the telephone call between the extension terminals, the CCU 1 which detects this operation instructs the VCU 4 to transmit the hold sound to the extension terminal on the holding side. At this time, when the media capability of the telephone call decided by a negotiation between the terminals when the telephone call is established is high tone quality, the CCU 1 instructs the CEU 3 and the VCU 4 to transmit the musical sound data Mi_h of the high tone quality. On the other hand, when it is a standard tone quality, the CCU 1 instructs the CEU 3 and the VCU 4 to transmit the musical sound data Mi_n of the standard tone quality. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
