PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a sense of discomfort in reproduced sound when acquiring information concerned with a receiving state of an alternative station. SOLUTION: A receiver includes: a sound signal generation part for generating a sound signal from a received signal received by a tuner; a control signal output part for outputting a control signal for controlling sound signal processing for the sound signal based on the received signal; a sound signal processing part for applying sound signal processing corresponding to the control signal to the sound signal and outputting the processed sound signal; and a receiving station control part for controlling a receiving station of the tuner and acquiring information concerned with the receiving state of the receiving station based on the received signal. The receiving station control part stores the control signal based on a received signal of a first receiving station when switching the receiving station from the fist receiving station to a second receiving station, and restores the stored control signal when returning the receiving station to the first receiving station.
