Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional electric double layer capacitor having a polarizing electrode with a large mixing ratio of a conductive filler does not have excellent output characteristics because of small ion conductivity although the polarizing electrode has large electric conductivity and a program that such an electric double layer capacitor greatly decreases in electrostatic capacity as compared with an electric double layer capacitor having an active carbon mixing rate since a polarizing electrode has a small active carbon mixing rate. SOLUTION: This electrode for the electric double layer capacitor is large in both electric conductivity and ion conductivity and has large capacity and superior output characteristics even when the electrode is the polarizing electrode having the large mixing rate of the conductive filler by making air permeability of the polarizing electrode large and using the heat-treated active carbon and the conductive filler with high specific surface area.
