Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a balance between the controllability of an air-fuel ratio and the responsiveness of torque, in a control device for an internal combustion engine performing the delay control of a throttle. SOLUTION: A request air amount is calculated based on a torque required by an internal combustion engine. Throttle opening for implementing the request air amount is calculated using an inverse model of an intake system model modeling the responsiveness of an intake air amount in a cylinder with respect to operation of the throttle. The throttle opening with delayed processing as controlled variables is output to the throttle. However, when an emergent torque request is issued from control systems such as a VSC, a TRC, and an ECT, in a high rotation region where an engine speed exceeds a predetermined speed Neth, the delayed processing of the throttle opening is restricted by setting a delay time to be zero or shortening the delay time.
