VEHICULAR STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering device including a lock mechanism, a rattling preventing mechanism, and also an energy absorption mechanism executed by contraction of a column and a shaft. SOLUTION: The vehicular steering device 1 in which a movable jacket 2 is supported to a column bracket 4 fixed to a vehicle body side in a vertical direction or an axial direction through the lock mechanism provided with a tilt bolt 5 to make adjustment possible, and a stationary jacket 3 is inserted in the inside of the movable jacket 2 to separate the column bracket 4 from a vehicle body when load at least the predetermined value is applied to the steering shaft includes the rattling preventing mechanism pressing the stationary jacket 3 to the movable jacket 2 side by rotation operation of the tilt bolt 5 between an inner face of the movable jacket 2 and an outer face of the stationary jacket 3 that face each other, and a pressing release means releasing pressing of the stationary jacket 3 by the tilt bolt 5 simultaneously when the column bracket 4 is separated from the vehicle body.
