Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hedge trimmer having a vertical pair of blades, and suppressing a motion for an upper blade to move to the lower direction with an easy structure. SOLUTION: This hedge trimmer is such that an incision is made in at least one blade followed by bending it up so as to form a stepped part projecting into an interval direction to the other blade, and as a result, when either the upper or lower blade approaches the direction of the other blade during work, the stepped part and the other blade made of the same material contact each other, so the interval between the upper and lower blades is suppressed from becoming narrow.
