PLANT GROWTH UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant growth unit which is facilitated in sufficient gas exchange while preventing air flow from directly coming in contact with plants, and prevented from absorption of necessary wavelength light. SOLUTION: The plant growth unit includes a bottom plate 1 to which an upwardly-projecting edge part 21 is set around the outer periphery of a placing surface 11 where plants are placed, and a lid 3 supported by the edge part of the bottom plate in contact therewith, and is housed in a plant growth device having an artificial lighting device illuminating the plants and a fan sending air to the periphery of the plants. The unit is structured as follows: one or more window holes 30 are formed in the ceiling part of the lid facing the bottom plate to almost entirely open the ceiling part; and a shielding plate closing the window hole(s) is disposed so as to be engaged therewith.
