HIGH-SPEED KVP SWITCHING SYSTEM FOR DOUBLE-ENERGY CT USE AND METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CT system using multiplex imaging energy source. SOLUTION: A CT system (10) includes an X-ray source (14) to irradiate X rays (16) through a gantry (12) aperture (48). The X-ray source includes a first and a second cathodes (102, 104) to emit a first and a second electron beams (114, 116) to a target (100), respectively, as well as a first and a second gridding electrodes (108, 112), each combined with the first and the second cathodes. The system includes a generating device (29) to energize each of the first and the second cathodes to a first and a second voltage, a detection unit (123) to receive the X rays passing through the gantry aperture, and a control device (28) to apply a gridding voltage to the first and/or the second gridding electrodes to prevent emission of a first an/or a second electron beam, and to obtain an imaging data from the detection unit.
