SWITCH DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device, in which an operation plate can be installed without backlash without providing a support structure for the operation plate on a mounting frame or a decorative plate. SOLUTION: The switch device includes a case body 10; a lid body 20; a movable contact 13; an operating element 30; and an operation plate 300. The operating element 30 includes a locking projection 38 for engagingly locking the operation plate 300, and the operation plate 300 includes a locking claw 301 to be engaged with the locking projection 38 on the reverse side. An urging spring 50 for urging the reverse side of the operation plate 300 in a push-out direction is installed to the upper surface of the operating element 30. The locking projection 38 and the locking claw 301 are made into rigid parts having no spring property, and allowed to abut on each other in a mutually meshing direction by the urging force of the urging spring 50.
