REINFORCING STRUCTURE FOR HANDRAIL SUPPORT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a reinforcing structure for a handrail support, which exhibits high strength. SOLUTION: This reinforcing structure for the handrail support includes the handrail support 2 which is formed of a metal prismatic body rectangular in cross section, and two metal reinforcing core materials 6 which are arranged along the two opposed inner surfaces of the handrail support 2. Also, the metal reinforcing core materials 6 and the handrail support 2 are fixed at a plurality of longitudinal locations by means of a fastening material 7 such as a screw. The arrangement of the metal reinforcing core material 6 inside the two sides orthogonal to the direction of action of a force in the cross section of the handrail support is most effective. A mere flat plate-like strip plate or a channel plate formed by bending both the sides of the flat plate-like strip plate can also be used as the metal reinforcing core material 6.
