Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a microreactor for reducing and detoxifying a hardly decomposable organic compound, which is firstly excellent in reaction efficiency, and is secondly attained easily and excellently in cost-effectiveness. SOLUTION: In the microreactor 1 is characterized, an aqueous solution 4 of the persistent organic compound 2 is introduced forcibly into a micro-flow passage 3 to form a laminar flow, while a photocatalyst 8 is stuck to a flow passage-formed plane 7 other than an ultraviolet irradiation plane 6, and the hardly decomposable organic compound 2 is reduced by molecular diffusion on the interface between the aqueous solution and the photocatalyst 8 to be irradiated with ultraviolet rays (hν). The photocatalyst 8 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays on the interface so that an electron (e-) in an outer shell orbit thereof is excited; a positive hole (hole+) is formed; an electron of water is seized by the positive hole; an OH radical (-OH) is produced and the hardly decomposable organic compound 2 is reduced by nascent atomic hydrogen (H++e-) to be produced when water is oxidized by the OH radical.
