DEVICE SHARING SYSTEM, DEVICE SHARING CLIENT AND DEVICE SHARING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means reducing a processing load on a server side and performing control to access a device only when the need arises without forcing a user into manual operation, when the device such as a storage device is shared by client PCs on a network. SOLUTION: A session start request is sent to a server from the client PC to connect a session, a first control command generated by the client PC is sent to the server to perform input/output of data to/from the device during the session connection, a second control command is periodically generated and is sent to the server to confirm a connection state of the session, and the session with the server is cut when a response to the second control command satisfies a prescribed condition. After the session cut, the client PC generates the response to the second control command in a pseudo state without sending the periodically generated second control command to the server, and notifies an upper layer about it.
