TICKET ISSUING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the issuance of a ticket having an unauthorized cut position by detecting the unauthorized cut position of a paper sheet. SOLUTION: This ticket issuing device 10 includes: a carrier 21 carrying a paper sheet; a print head 13 printing ticket face contents on the carried paper sheet; a cutter 14 cutting the paper sheet in a prescribed position; a position detection sensor 15 detecting a position of the paper sheet; and a controller controlling the carrier, the print head, and the cutter. When the position detection sensor does not detect the paper sheet when driving the carrier by the prescribed number of drive pulses after printing the ticket face contents on the paper sheet, the controller reversely carries the paper sheet and performs printing representing ineffectiveness on a portion printed with the ticket face contents when a time until the pulse drive corresponding to the prescribed number of the drive pulses is completed after the position detection sensor detects the paper sheet is shorter than a first prescribed time and when the time until the pulse drive corresponding to the prescribed number of the drive pulses is completed after the position detection sensor detects the paper sheet is not shorter than a second prescribed time.
