SOLUTION: The method for producing HFC-245fa comprises a process of reacting HCFC-235fa with hydrogen in the presence of a reduction catalyst, wherein the HCFC-235fa is produced by reacting CCl3CH2CCl3with hydrogen fluoride either in a liquid or gas phase in the presence of a fluorination catalyst.
