Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the kind of a mounted accessory without having a communication function with the accessory. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 100 includes: an imaging lens part 1 configured to freely attach and detach an accessory such as a conversion lens 200; and a control part 11 for performing comparison processing of comparing a first detection image imaged by an electronic imaging part 2 in a state of not mounting the accessory on the imaging lens part with a second detection image imaged by the electronic imaging part in a state of mounting the accessory on the imaging lens part, and for specifying processing of specifying the kind of the accessory mounted on the imaging lens part on the basis of the result of the comparison processing.
