Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantitative method of chloride ions capable of quantify correctly chloride ions in testing water, containing at least either ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or ethylenediaminetetraacetate, in the titration of aqueous solution of silver nitrate. SOLUTION: The testing water, in which metallic compound which can discharge metal ions chosen from among a group consisting of bivalent iron ions, trivalent ferric ions, manganese ions and zinc ions is dissolved and test reagent is added, is titrated with an aqueous solution of silver nitrate to titrate the chloride ion contained in testing water, based on dropping amount of aqueous solution of silver nitrate required for change of color of test reagent.
