PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot and cold water mixing device capable of improving temperature regulating performance, while maintaining an adequate discharge rate. SOLUTION: The hot and cold water mixing device 1 includes a hot and cold water device body 20a, a hot water temperature regulating handle 8 for setting the temperature of hot water to be discharged, a main valve element 30 disposed to be movable inside the hot and cold water mixing device body for changing the flow rate of hot water and cold water flowing into the hot and cold water mixing device body by moving, a bias spring 32 for generating biasing force to make the main valve element slide in a predetermined direction according to operation of the hot water temperature regulating handle, a temperature sensing spring 34 for generating biasing force to make the main valve element slide in the direction opposite to the bias spring according to the temperature of hot water mixed by being flowed into the hot water mixing device body, and a bushing 44b disposed inside the main valve element, promoting the mixture of the supplied hot and cold water, and having a downstream side end 44a which is formed in a tapered shape by forming a recessed curved surface from the upstream side toward the downstream side in the axial direction.
