Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for melt spinning cellulose fatty acid mixed ester fibers by which a fiber yarn extruded from a spinneret is uniformly and stably cooled, and strength and elongation can further be improved when the cellulose fatty acid mixed ester fibers are melt spun, wound and produced. SOLUTION: The cellulose fatty acid mixed ester fiber yarn extruded from the spinneret, and comprising a cellulose fatty acid mixed ester as a principal component is cooled, solidified, and wound. In the process, a cooling air is blown off from the annular direction toward the yarn, and blown from a cooling air blowoff part having a blowoff length Lq of the cooling air on the fiber yarn under conditions satisfying the following inequalities: Tm+10≤Tt≤Tm+60 [wherein, Tt is the cooling air temperature (°C) at the upper end of the cooling air blowoff part; Tm is the melting point (°C) of the cellulose fatty acid mixed ester; Td≤40 äwherein, Td is the cooling air temperature (°C) at the lower end of the cooling air blowoff part}; and 100≤Lq≤500 äwherein, Lq is the blowoff length (mm) of the cooling air blowoff part}] to cool and solidify the fiber yarn.
