Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus and method inspecting a hybrid controller for controlling a hybrid vehicle drive, in a condition which approximates actual service conditions, without having to connect to the hybrid vehicle drive. SOLUTION: The inspection apparatus 1 for inspecting the hybrid controller 2 for controlling the hybrid vehicle drive 3, having at least one rotating electrical machine, includes a replacement means 11 for replacing the object of connection that is connected, while being mounted in a hybrid vehicle and capable of signal input and output with respect to the hybrid controller 2; and an output inspection means 17 for inspecting output signals from the hybrid controller 2. The replacement means 11 provides signal inputs and outputs, with respect to the hybrid controller 2 in accordance with an inspection pattern simulating a predetermined traveling condition of the hybrid vehicle, and the output signals from the hybrid controller 2 that respond to them are inspected by the output inspection means 17.
