Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of enhancing long-term reliability by preventing the occurrence of microbending of a bare optical fiber caused by a slope of the point of a coating part in a coated optical fiber, concerning a ferrule with an optical fiber attached thereto in which the point of the coated optical fiber being a secondary coated optical fiber or a primary coated optical fiber is inserted into the ferrule and fixed with an adhesive and in which the bare optical fiber exposed at the point of the coated optical fiber is housed in plurality in a through hole of the ferrule. SOLUTION: In the ferrule 10 with an optical fiber attached thereto, in a difference-in-level face 21i formed in a coating part housing hole 21c in one end of the through hole 21b of a capillary ferrule body 21 of the ferrule 20, there is thrusted the coating part 52 point of the coated optical fiber 50 that is inserted in the coating part housing hole 21c. Then, a plurality of bare optical fibers at the point of the coated optical fiber are housed in the through hole 21b, with the tip end of the coated optical fiber 50 fixedly stuck to the ferrule body 21.
