STEERING COLUMN DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device capable of restricting turning of a jacket tube. SOLUTION: The steering column device includes: the single jacket tube 1 for supporting a steering shaft 2; a distance bracket 3 formed in a U shape and having both end parts bonded to side surfaces of the jacket tube 1; a vehicle body mounting bracket 4 having a pair of side wall parts 4c for clamping the distance bracket 3 and bonded to the vehicle body; a lock bolt 7 inserted into tilt long holes 4e formed on the respective side wall parts 4c and telescopic long holes 3a formed on the distance bracket 3; and a lock means for locking the distance bracket 3 by fastening it by the pair of side wall parts 4c. The steering column device further includes a restriction member 6 for restricting turning of the jacket tube 1 making a portion near the lock bolt 7 as a center. The restriction member 6 is provided with a restriction part 6a covering an upper surface of the jacket tube 1, and formed with four projection parts 6c abutting on the side wall parts 4c from a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body; and bonding parts 6b through which the lock bolt 7 penetrates.
