PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for transmitting signals more than ever before without an error by code-division-multiplexing the signals. SOLUTION: In a transmitter 101, a comb pulse signal CLKCOM is generated based on a clock signal CLK. A diffusion modulator 41 is synchronized with the generated comb pulse signal CLKCOM, and outputs diffusion sequences G0 to Gn-1 corresponding to data signals Db0 to Dbn-1. Thus, phases of codes of the diffusion sequences are highly accurately synchronized between the plurality of the data signals. Further, in a receiver 102, the comb pulse signal CLKCOM added to the diffusion sequences G0 to Gn-1 to be transmitted is reproduced. A back-diffuser 106 performs highly accurate back diffusion using the reproduced comb pulse signal CLKCOM. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
