PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a magnetic recording device in which storage capacity can be increased; a control device; and a magnetic recording device control method. SOLUTION: A magnetic recording medium in which preamble for read-synchronization is not provided is used, while a phase compensation value for generating a read-clock from a write-clock and a gain compensation value for generating data-reproduced signal gain used when a data-reproduced signal is amplified from write-reproduced signal gain used when a write-reproduced signal or the like are amplified are stored in a storage part, during read-processing, the read-clock is generated from the write-clock using the phase compensation value, while data-reproduced signal gain is generated from the write-reproduced signal gain using the gain compensation value.
