CARTRIDGE CASE AND INFORMATION MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge case which prevents an error from occurring when loading or taking the cartridge case to or from a recording and reproducing apparatus. SOLUTION: The cartridge case includes: a case body 2 which includes an upper case 12 and a lower case 11 fitting in each other with the end faces of the lateral plates abutting on each other and internally contains a single tape reel, and in which a pull-out opening 2a for pulling out a magnetic tape wound on the tape reel is formed by partially notching the lateral plates 22 and 42; and a slide door 7 which is disposed at the case body 2, and opens and closes the pull-out opening 2a. On the end face of the lateral plate 22 of the lower case 11, a convex section 32 projecting toward the end face of the lateral plate 42 of the upper case 12 is formed, while both of the cases 11 and 12 fit in each other. In the end face of the lateral plate 42 of the upper case 12, a concave section 52 into which the convex section 32 is fitted while both of the cases 11 and 12 fit in each other is formed.
