IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve increase in first print time when correction of variation in potential property is carried out even for an image not requiring a high image quality such as a document image in an apparatus varying potential property in a photoreceptor by changing the exposure amount. SOLUTION: The variation in the potential property is corrected in the direction of rotation and in the direction of the rotational axis of the photoreceptor 1 in a mode for printing a photograph image, and at least the variation in the potential property in the direction of rotation is not corrected in a mode for printing a document image only composed of letters.
