SEAT WITH OCCUPANT DETECTION FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat with an occupant detection function of high safety, which does not become a cause for losing or deteriorating an occupant detection function by disconnection of a detection line, or leading to misoperation or operation failure of an airbag system using occupant detection information. SOLUTION: When a detection wire 9 is disconnected by a stress like a load of an occupant, a disconnection judgment unit 13 judges the disconnection of the detection wire 9 from a change of a radiation impedance level of the detection wire 9 and information of a seat belt reminder detecting whether the occupant wears the seat belt when the occupant sits on the seat. At that time, a heater function changing switch 14 switches off between a heater wire and a control part 8, between grounds, and between the detection wire 9 and a hybrid circuit, and switches on between the heater wire and the hybrid circuit, so as to detect the occupant using the heater wire.
