Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electronic component achieving thickness reduction. SOLUTION: The rotary electronic component includes: a substrate 10 with a shaft inserting hole 11 and a resistor pattern 13 formed on its upper surface; a collecting panel 70 with a shaft 73 inserted into the shaft inserting hole 11; and a slider 30 including a dish-shaped base part 33 with an insertion hole 35 into which the shaft 73 is rotatably inserted and a slide contact 39. The leading end of the shaft 73 is inserted into the insertion hole 35 in the base part 33 of the slider 30 inserted into the shaft insertion hole 11 in the substrate 10 to rotatably attach the slider 30 to the substrate 10 by caulking. A recessed adjusting tool engaging part 41 is provided on a part of an outer peripheral sidewall 33a of the base part 33 of the slider 30 and at least part of a bottom surface of the adjusting tool engaging part 41 is formed as a substrate abutment part 43 abutting around the shaft insertion hole 11 in an upper surface of the substrate 10.
