COMPUTER SWITCHING METHOD, COMPUTER SWITCHING PROGRAM, AND COMPUTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when a failure occurs in a server device for managing the whole server, a backup server device cannot be used because a server device for handling the failure fails. SOLUTION: A computer system includes: a first computer for performing operation, a backup computer, a second computer having a management section for managing the first computer and the backup computer; and a third computer for managing start and stop of the backup computer. The computer switching method of the computer system includes steps of: allowing the third computer to determine whether the second computer having the management section has failed or not; and using the backup computer as a management section instead of the second computer based on acquired configuration information when the failure occurs in the second computer.
