PNEUMATIC ELEVATING CYLINDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pneumatic elevating cylinder having good responsiveness and good operability. SOLUTION: This pneumatic elevating cylinder includes a pressure regulating valve 89 for regulating the pressure of a supply and discharge passage 10 connected to the action chamber 8 of a cylinder 2 for elevating a body 1 to be carried to the pressure competitive to the weight of the body 1 to be carried, and the cylinder 2 is integrally elevatably fitted to a mover 4 elevatably supported. The cylinder includes: an energizing chamber 54 to which the compressed air is introduced to thereby energize the mover 4 in the rising direction; and a control chamber 48 to which the compressed air is introduced to thereby press the mover 4 in the descending direction. The energizing force of the energizing chamber 54 is made to balance with the weight of the body 1 to be carried and the pressing force of the control chamber 48, and the action chamber 8 is connected to the control chamber 48. In this configuration, the spool 78 of the pressure regulating valve 89 is moved according to the elevation of the mover 4, and the pressure regulating valve 89 is adapted to discharge the compressed air from the action chamber 8 and the control chamber 48 by descending of the mover 4, and supply the compressed air to the action chamber 8 and the control chamber 48 by rising of the mover 4.
