SOLUTION: The dampening water composition for printing includes polyoxypropylene methyl glucoside and alkylene glycol mono alkyl ether. The dampening water composition for printing includes a predetermined amount of polyoxypropylene methyl glucoside, and the alkylene glycol mono alkyl ether is selected out of a predetermined group.
