Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave power receiver, which is reliable and can receive electromagnetic waves stably and efficiently between itself and an electromagnetic wave transmitting medium, and a power transmitting system. SOLUTION: This power receiver, which extracts power from the electromagnetic wave transmitting medium, includes: the first power receiving conductor, which is arranged in parallel with the first conductor layer; a power receiving dielectric (H1: thickness, 1: permittivity, μ1: permeability), which is provided between the first power receiving conductor and the first conductor layer; a power extraction end, which is arranged on the front side and in a direction not parallel with the direction of propagation of electromagnetic waves that propagates in the electromagnetic wave transmitting medium; the second power receiving conductor, which is provided at the power extraction end; and a plurality of power extraction parts, which are provided at intervals on such a level w as to fulfill the relation of formula: w=(H1/Z)(√(μ1/ 1)), at the end of the power extraction end, so that it may extraction power from the first power receiving conductor and the second power receiving conductor.
