Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain skew bevel gears (a gear set using bevel gears) with less heat generation and higher efficiency (low surface pressure). SOLUTION: A hypoid gear set (the gear set using bevel gears) is composed of a pair of gears having rotation shafts which are non-parallel and never intersect with each other, and the respective gear surfaces are formed along a conical surface. At least a part of an engagement surface 102 of the respective gears (a hypoid pinion or a hypoid gear HG1) is formed to have a shape of a convex contact line as a whole to an engagement advancing direction X (a contact line composed of a first contact line F (F1, F2, F3) and a second contact line G (G1, G2, G3)).
