Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a tapered roller bearing, which is formed by fitting a small flange ring in an inner ring, by simplifying the structure of a mechanism for preventing a fall of the small flange ring. SOLUTION: The mechanism for preventing a fall of the small flange ring 6 is formed by forming a small diameter side end of the inner ring 1 into a tapered part 1c so as to be widened from a central side to a side end, forming a tapered surface 6a at a taper angle α the same as the tapered part 1c of the inner ring 1 in the inner peripheral surface of the small flange ring 6, and shrink-fitting the small flange ring 6 in the inner ring tapered part 1c. With this structure, it is unnecessary to perform accurate finish machining and groove machining to the inner ring 1 and the small flange ring 6 like a conventional one, and the tapered roller bearing can be manufactured at costs lower than the conventional one.
