IMAGE MONITORING APPARATUS AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image monitoring apparatus capable of efficiently acquiring the state information of an image recording device while the image monitoring apparatus is triggered. SOLUTION: An image monitoring apparatus 4 includes a communication part 17 capable of communicating with a plurality of image recording devices 3, and a communication control part 23 which controls to receive the state information as well that represents the state of the image recording device 3 when receiving image data from the image recording device 3. The image monitoring apparatus 4 includes an enquiry object extracting part 26 for extracting an image recording device 3 which is not receiving image data out of a plurality of image recoding devices 3, and an inquiry control part 27 which controls inquiry at the extracted image recording device 3 about transmission of a state request signal requesting transmission of state information. Thus, state information is efficiently obtained not only from the image recording device 3 which receives image data but also from the image recording device 3 which does not receive image data.
