Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve further thickness reduction in a plasma display device without lowering an effective screen rate and without lowering an electric power collecting rate. SOLUTION: The plasma display device has, in a chassis, a panel which includes a plurality of electrical discharge cells which has scanning electrodes and sustaining electrodes, a scanning side circuit board 100 where a sustain pulse generating circuit which generates a sustain pulse to be applied to the scanning electrodes is mounted, and a sustaining side circuit board where a sustain pulse generating circuit which generates a sustain pulse to be applied to the sustaining electrodes is mounted, wherein a plurality of capacitors are mounted on the scanning side circuit board 100 and the sustaining side circuit board, and the plurality of capacitors 151 to 158 are mounted in a vertical direction in the chassis and further the longest side of each of the plurality of capacitors 151 to 158 is arranged in a vertical direction in the chassis.
