FLUID BEARING DEVICE, SPINDLE MOTOR WITH THE SAME, AND INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing device capable of suppressing start failure and abnormal friction caused by contact of a thrust flange and a confronted member, a spindle motor with the same, and an information processor. SOLUTION: The fluid bearing device 20 is provided with a shaft 12, the thrust flange 13, and a fusion center part G. The thrust flange 13 is equipped with a body part 13a, an insertion hole 13b through which the shaft 12 is inserted, and a thin part 13c formed around the insertion hole 13b and having a thickness H2 in an axial direction larger than a half of a thickness H1 of the body part 13a in the axial direction, and is arranged in the vicinity of an end of the shaft 12. The fusion center part G is arranged in a portion slightly upward from a thickness center position H of the body part 13a, and is the position of the center of gravity of a cross section in a fusion part 30 of the shaft 12 and the thrust flange 13 when the shaft 12 and the thrust flange 13 are welded from the end side of the shaft 12.
