TRANSMISSION CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately learn reference voltage value indicating reference position on a shift route of a shift lever operated by a driver along a shift gate including the shift route and a select route while reducing process work of ECU. SOLUTION: HV-ECU computes at cycle time TC. The HV-ECU determines whether the shift lever passes through a center position of the select route or not as a learning permission condition, and learns the reference voltage value based on output voltage value of a shift sensor sampled at a point of time when the learning permission condition is satisfied. When the shift lever changes from a state that the same is not included in a cycle change start region AR including the center position of the selector route to a state that the same is included in the cycle change start region AR, the HV-ECU determines that a cycle change start condition is satisfied (Yes in S302) and sets the cycle time TC to a value T1 shorter than a normal value T2 until prescribed time elapses (S304).
