PAPER FEEDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of driving a pick-up roller to elevate, lower, and rotate it by utilizing rotational force to be transmitted to a paper feeding roller and preventing the pick-up roller from affecting conveyance of paper adversely by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In this paper feeding device, a first shaft 6 being a rotary shaft of the paper feeding roller 5 is formed by protruding a pin 62 from its outer peripheral face. The pin 62 has a function for transmitting rotational force to a first gear 28. Besides, an engaging piece 280 engageable with the pin 62 is provided at the inner periphery of the first gear 28. The pin 62 and the engaging piece 280 are constituted to engage mutually only when rotational force is transmitted to the first gear 28 from the first shaft 6 of the paper feeding roller 5.
