AWNING STRUCTURE FOR MOTOR TRUCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an awning structure for a motor truck capable of accommodating an awning on a cabin while preventing any interference of the cabin with a guide rail attributable to the size and the shape of the cabin during the cargo handling mode, and preventing any increase in the width of the vehicle caused by projection of the guide rail in a running mode. SOLUTION: The awning structure for the motor truck has a pair of forwardly extending rails 38 capable of allowing a pair of guide rails 34 to extend forward of the vehicle and accommodating them therein, and expansion mechanisms 28, 62, 72 for displacing the pair of guide rails 34 outwardly in the vehicle width direction. By displacing the pair of guide rails 34 by the expansion mechanisms 28, 62, 72, a plurality of skeletons 54 are movable on the pair of forwardly extending rails 38, and a canvas 56 fitted over the plurality of skeletons 54 is accommodated on a cabin 12 of the motor truck 10.
