| Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV apparatus for preventing a situation which is not desired by a user from occurring when operation information, which is transmitted by one system from an accessory remote controller to the apparatus itself, and operation information, which is transmitted by the other system from another remote controller, are almost simultaneously received, and to provide a method for controlling the apparatus. SOLUTION: A combination reception mode is the mode for receiving the respective kinds of operation information received by an infrared light receiving means (20) for receiving the operation information transmitted by using the infrared light and by a radio wave receiving means (21) for receiving the operation information transmitted by using radio wave. When the operation information is received by one receiving means within the predetermined prescribed time after receiving the operation information by the other receiving means in a state where the AV apparatus is set in the combination reception mode, the operation information received by the infrared light receiving means (20) is accepted.
